康乃狄格州小學開槍事件


【Global and Mail】Most died at the very start of their lives, just 6 or 7 years old. Others found their life’s work in sheltering them, teaching them, caring for them, treating them as their own. After the gunfire ended Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the U.S. state of Connecticut, the trail of loss was more than many could bear: 20 children and six adults at the school.

美國時間週五（December 14），二十歲槍手殺死媽媽後，攜槍再到母親任職的小學展開屠殺，康乃狄格州 Sandy Hook Elementary School Newtown 26名師生，加上槍手和他的母親，共二十八人死亡，6歲的 Madeleine Hsu，看似是華裔的死者！




【CNN】Dressed in black fatigues and a military vest, a heavily armed man walked into a Connecticut elementary school Friday and opened fire, shattering the quiet of this southern New England town and leaving the nation reeling at the number of young lives lost.

Within minutes, 26 people were dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School -- 20 of them children. Among the six adults killed were Dawn Hochsprung, the school's beloved principal, and school psychologist Mary Sherlach.

The shooter, identified by three law enforcement officials as 20-year-old Adam Lanza, also was killed, apparently by his own hand. Separately, his mother's body was found at a Newtown residence.

"Stuff like this does not happen in Newtown," a tight-knit community of about 27,000 just outside Danbury, said Renee Burn, a local teacher at another school in town. In the past 10 years, only one homicide had previously been reported.

With the death toll at 26, the Newtown shooting is the second-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history, behind only the 2007 shooting at Virginia Tech that left 32 people dead.

本文登出後，得蒙兩位網友留言，提及美國的槍械管制，今天看報有以下的報導：

【明報專訊】'I wish to God she had had an M-4 in her office, locked up so when she heard gunfire, she pulls it out and she didn't have to lunge heroically with nothing in her hands and takes him out and takes his head off before he can kill those precious kids.'

「但願上天讓她（上周五校園槍擊案校長）在辦公室內放了一把 M-4機槍，聽到槍聲時就可拿出來，在他（槍手）殺掉可愛的小孩前，除去他，取下他的首級，而非手無寸鐵地撲上去。」

共和黨國會議員戈赫米爾特（Louie Gohmert），周日在霍士電視台節目中說出以上一番話。他揚言，過去的槍擊案例讓他相信，要防止同類事件，必須增加可流通的槍械，不應加強槍械管制。


若要在美國加強管制槍械，難度之大可想而知。美國強悍的民族性不言而喻，就以擁有核武，只管別人不管自己，別國不可研發核武，但美國擁有全世界最多的核武器！全世界擁有航母的國家有 9個，即是就艘航母，但美國一國卻擁有 11艘航母，成立 11個航母戰鬥群，其他國家加起來都只得 8個半還要多，因為中國的航母還未成形。


還有自 911後，更賦予總統若有任何懷疑受到攻擊，可以作出毀滅性的 preemptive strike，你不幸被殺可說是 collateral damages！
