每年一度的北美天氣預測專家，Punxsutawney 的土撥鼠 Phil，在Groundhog Day 土撥鼠日即每年的二月二日, 土撥鼠Phil 會告訴大家，北美洲會有個早來的溫暖春天，還是繼續多六個星期的風雪，嚴寒冬季。

時間過得真快，明天就是2008年2月2日，土撥鼠日，舊年寫的電影介紹 Ground Hog Day 土撥鼠日 ：

Feb. 2﹐ 2007 NEWs reported that Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow, so an earlier Spring is being expected, but how true ??? In traditional weather lore, if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. If the groundhog sees its shadow because the weather is bright and clear, it will be frightened and run back into its hole, and the winter will continue for six more weeks.

故事說:
電視臺的天氣報導員Phil Connors﹐是一個口臭的人﹐得罪人多﹐稱呼人少﹐不受同事歡迎。就在每年一度的土撥鼠日Ground Hog Day﹐電視臺派 Phil﹐編導 Rita﹐和攝影師 Lary 到Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania ﹐現場報導。 但報導完畢回程時遇到大風雪﹐被逼返回 Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania 過一晚夜。




一覺醒來 Phil 發覺﹐原來時間重返到已經過去的昨天早晨﹐他要重複報導土撥鼠Punxsutawney Phil 所作的預測﹐完畢後回程時又遇到大風雪﹐被逼返回Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania 又過一晚夜﹐但只有他記得起這事情曾經發生過。








如此 Phil 每天睡醒都重回到FEB 2﹐ 二月二號的早晨﹐重複再重複﹐重複再重複﹐每天一樣的報導﹐重複回程時遇到大風雪﹐被逼返回Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania 過一晚夜﹐ 但只有他記得起這事情曾經發生過。


起初 Phil 發覺很有趣﹐因為只有他有過去天昨發生過的記憶﹐他就可以作弄其他人﹐但天天如是﹐重複再重複﹐重複再重複﹐有趣的變成沒趣了。怎樣才能離開呢? 但總是被風雪逼著回到﹐Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania 過一晚夜。Phil 自殺了﹐但當時間一到他又重頭開始同一天﹐重複再重複﹐重複再重複。




最後Phil 發覺﹐他可以用他的記憶去幫助他人﹐他較好時間﹐在指定時間﹐去指定地點﹐去幫人﹐去救人﹐並且他學會了關心別人﹐他改變了他的臭口﹐他甚至由不懂彈鋼琴﹐他利用重複的每一天去跟老師學﹐在土撥鼠日Ground Hog Day 慶典彈奏一曲﹐並獲得 Rita 對他另眼相看﹐和他結為情侶﹐ 渡過一個甜蜜的晚上。





第二天Phil 起床﹐開始又重複的一天﹐但他發覺今天不同了﹐那個魔咒消失了﹐他和 Rita 同時踏進新的一天﹐二月三日﹐Phil 帶著 Rita 離開 Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania 。







故事很簡單﹐但點出其實我們一班打工仔﹐每天上班下班﹐也是過著十分黑板的生活﹐每天做差不多相同的事情﹐如果不是天天爆大鑊﹐返工是重複再重複做同一般的事情。
