  13. I am actually quite curious what HKers think of Chinese people overseas?

America isn't perfect but it is home to me after all. Just like HK to many of you, HK isn't perfect but it's home. As far as assimilation, I was told by some "real" Americans that immigrants can't really assimilate. We integrate. I digress. I know some second/third generation American born Asians who are still quite confused about their cultural and racial identities. Yes, there is loss. I believe you gain some and you lose some. As long as I'm happy, I don't care where I live.

Madam Exile,

At this difficult times you are still affordable to go on a 9 day-vacation. I remember I said before,"the Chinese Americans are the last group of americans to go under."

They still retain some good DNA from their ancestors though they lived among the general americans and dreamt in english than in chinese.

As far as I recall, Iris Chang Shun-Ru committed suicide in 2004. I have not read her book "The Chinese in America" . Rumours said she was actually killed by CIA agents or being terrorized by CIA so much that she rather died than living.

  15. Oh! Exile, assimilation?

that was my reply to haricot’s introduction of the concept 【生物擴散論】, people praised Canada for their multi-culturalism but said the USA is a crucible of culture(s).

Haha...nah, you've got to be kidding! I refuse to go under with or without Chinese DNA! I went on a 8-night cruise to Mexico. It was a lot of fun. I still feel like I am floating on water.

"The Chinese in America" is a must read for all Chinese living in America. Space, you must read quite a bit of conspiracy theory about the U.S. Yes, I heard the CIA theory too, also if you believe it, I heard she may have been killed by Japanese right wingers. Anyway what a loss.

  17. Exile, cost for 8-night cruise to Mexico more than enuf for U to fly back HK for 7-night stay.

"The Chinese in America" is a must read for all Chinese living in America. SO I can be exempted.

Wikipedia said HER death involved CIA she left behind 3 notes.
